We visited Matka Khichdi for the first time and had a great experience! The Punjabi food was delicious and full of authentic Indian flavors. For the first time in Chicago, we had such amazing Punjabi food—especially the Kaju Curry, which was outstanding! Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
Delicious!! They have a lot of vegan options here! Just let them know about any specifications. Great service and great atmosphere!
The store was clean with modern wall decor and hanging faux fruit. The food was oily! The mostly potato patty was good with dipping sauces but white Hawaiian bun with it was unnecessary. The nann bread tasted ok, but store bought and then rewarmed in oil and garlic. I prefer to avoid seed oils and it would be great if they would switch to olive oil for health. They were out of mango Lassi drink which may have ended the meal on a high note. Americans expect filtered ice water, at restaurants. The food gave me a stomach ache,. The presentation was just ok. Front cashier was friendly enough, made us feel welcome and I wish them well,. The ale cart prices were too high for bowl of mush. If the prices were 30% less then it would be in line with other fast food and they would have more customers. This place is Gujarat vegetarian, so I may give it another try but not order oily khichdi. Thank you
